Turbo Kit
IApex/RX-1 Turbo GT-25 Complete Turbo Kit
This is our stage one kit. It will run up to 16lbs of boost and deliver 250hp. Kit includes a Garrett GT2554 turbo-charger for quick spool up and back-wrenching throttle response.
Apex/RX-1 Turbo GT-28 Complete Turbo Kit
Boondockers stage two turbo kit runs up to 24lbs of boost and 375hp. This kit will require the use of bigger injectors when running over 20lbs of boost. This kit comes with a push-on inter-cooler which eliminates the use of hoses and hose clamps in securing the inter-cooler to the throttle bodies.

F-1000 Complete Turbo Kit
Kit is complete with everything your going to need. It comes with a Garrett 30 series turbo, oil tank, intercooler and Push-on air box. Boondocker has created a push-on air box eliminating the hoses and clamps between the air box and throttle bodies. This allows us to run higher boost levels without leaks or hoses blowing off.

Turbo Power from 130 to 240 HP!
We have developed, built and tested the new Nytro FX turbo kit, and we are very satisfied with the results. The Sled itself is easy to work with. The turbo kit is easier to fit and will probably take less time to install than any other of our previous Yamaha Snowmobile MC Xpress Turbo Kits.
The power is over 230 hp at 0, 95 bar turbo pressure.The turbo starts to boost very early on the Nytro FX turbo. Compared to the RS turbo, it is a big difference. At 5000 rpm the turbo has more power than the maximum power on the stock prototype Nytro. Both the air intake and the muffler are pointing backwards. The muffler can be made rather long. This makes the noise level low. After a lot of dyno tests with different turbos, we decided to use the same turbo as on the Apex turbo kits. The Mitsubishi 16T turbo is extremely good. It starts to boost very early, the response is excellent and the top end power is the best on the market compared to all other turbos we tested. And it is the most reliable turbo you can find. |

The purpose of an intercooler is to cool air charge. The turbocharger heats the intake air when compressing it because its adiabatic efficiency is not 100%. Hot intake air is detrimental to power and will increase the chance of detonation. An intercooler reduces the intake temperature by pushing the air through a heat exchanger (like a small radiator) that absorbs some of the heat from the intake air. Placing an intercooler in the air path between turbocharger compressor and the intake manifold provides two advantages:
- It reduces the heat in the air charge which increases the charge density, thus increasing the potential for making more power. You actually get more air and fuel into the cylinder for any given boost level. The power increase will typically be between 10 and 20% for the average(street) boost pressure of 5 to 15 lbs/in.
- It reduces the tendency of the combustion process to knock (detonation), allowing more boost to be run safely for a given fuel quality.
Not all intercoolers are created equal. The intercooler efficiency depends on the design of the intercooler. The two critical factors are:
- Thermal efficiency (how much heat is removed)
- Flow restriction (lost pressure) created by the presence of intercooler.
Regardless of the degree of thermal efficiency, if too much boost pressure is lost to a restrictive intercooler, the intercooler may actually decrease the performance. |
